Creating a better UX/UI and brand story for a popular pizza brand

Problem

The client wanted to create a more user-friendly website, while maintaining their niche "screamin" brand personality and further tell their brand story. They also needed a simple Content Management System that would allow them to easily scale their website in phases, and meet their evolving needs as their business grew.

Process

I conducted an initial discovery interview with key stakeholders, then completed an extensive content inventory of the current site. I identified pages and copy that needed to be repurposed, or removed and updated the sitemap accordingly. I also identified potential content gaps and opportunities for future content development.

Site leaned heavy on original branding and voice, had no product detail page level and was not responsive.

Original site

Bringing in the brand personality

This recommendation included building out a new “fun” page that could further differentiate the site from a traditional product transactional site as well as a new “pick your pizza style” flavor selector feature.

Optimizing for Search

After client approval, I went through a full SEO keyword research exercise and then wrote all site copy. In development, I also worked with the lead developer on establishing the CMS and added all admin-able content elements to build the final site.
